I have an idea. An idea in the sense that I've done nothing more than formulate. Still don't know if I will do NaNo.

I'm gonna do nanowrimo, but I definitely don't have a plan. :p One will occur to me, I'm sure, as I write. :D

I have a general idea. That's all. Hopefully it will be perfect for writing in Nano.

You probably want some idea of the direction you want to take the story before you start. You don't have time for uncertainty once you start writiing.

No, not at all. I have a general/specific idea. It's perfect for starting off, anyhow. Don't worry, Cog. I wouldn't start completely without at least some preparation. Besides, I still have a few weeks to think about it more :D

I've set out main ideas for the chapters and then added scene ideas for half of them. I'd like to get the rest of the scene ideas in place by next Saturday. Then I'll look into refining them until it starts. And when it starts, I'll probably throw it all away and go with something else. :D

    NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow!
I have my region's kick off party today and I am so nervous, but hopefully it'll be fun.
Can't wait to get writing my novel. :D

    Good luck!
I've heard of NaNoWriMo, but never looked into participating. I'm not sure if it's even available in the UK? If so, perhaps next year? I'd like to though.

You can participate anywhere in the world, and write in any language :)

I am really excited about starting my novel now. I've finished my outline yesterday, cut some parts that were not working and now it is just waiting to be written.

I'm planning to write 90k (3k a day). Since I don't work or study it might not be that hard. Well, I've never actually participated to know if it is hard or not :p

Just waiting for midnight now. 13 hours to go...

kicked off an hour ago here in AU (Happy Halloween everyone) but I don't think I'll participate this time. I'm working on one right now but I'd rather not rush it.

Best wishes to all of you who are participating. I have eleven hours before mine kicks off. Of course, I will probably be snoozing at that point, so I'll leave a writable-CD under my pillow just in case the whole osmosis thing decided to start working in the last twenty years.

    Aye, good luck to everyone!

Just under four hours until I can start writing my NaNoWriMo novel. I want to stay up and start writing as soon as it hits midnight, but I know I'll regret it tomorrow so I better not. :(

^I'm nervous too. Just in the fact that I might get it totally wrong the first time. But that's something I'll just have to get used to, eh?

3 hours and 22 minutes until I can start writing.

As the seconds tick by slowly I start to wonder if maybe I should have done more planning.

    Hmm. Oh well. :D

ALRIGHT, I'm all hyped up on Halloween candy and what not, and I cannot hold back the anticipation of writing my first novel -- or I shall die in the attempt!

How are you guys all faring, hm?

I'm faring great. Thank you for asking :D I'm so ready for this to begin. Sleepless nights, here I come!

EDIT: Ten minutes to go. I'm going to brush my teeth, use the bathroom one last time, and wait for the countdown to begin. Nano, I'm so ready!

So, is anyone done yet? :D

Still, some peoples' word totals for November completely astound me.

Those that get a head start, also have a deadline that finishes sooner. ;)

No, not yet. I'm going to wrap up in a few more minutes. My total so far is: 2005 words. But there are plenty of mistakes, mind you :D At the moment, I'm taking some time to backup my WIP.
