Last night Emma had 20,040 or so, and I had 20,150. This morning I woke up to see she was on 22,700. I've moved to 20,932 now, only been awake an hour, and it's only half midnight in Canada time, so I have loooots of time to build an advatage today, as long as she's not sitting on some word count she couldn't update last night or something. :p

Best wishes in your word war, Melzaar.

I've been averaging about the mystical 1,667 mark so far.

Just remembered it's November so spent the last 20 mins "vomiting" 619 words onto the page.

    Excellent.

I love Nanowrimo as an exercise in commitment and writing something which can be frankly far more nuts and nonsensical than any serious piece of writing.

    Go go nanowrimo!

Yesterday I decided to finish my book instead of write. So I was behind today. But I managed to finish both today's and yesterdays word and got a good chunk of tomorrows word count aswell.

Also while writing I learned something interesting about my character Andy. That he might actually be the dead son of Katherine's older sister. Though how that works out I don't know. *shrugs*

    Yeah!

According to Nano stats, I'm going to finish in January. I need to write 6413 words today to catch up. I don't see this happening.

But I saw on some random person's profile that they've only written 2 words which makes me feel better. :p

You could have some of my words, if you like. ;) I'm due to finish on the 11th according to their thing - word wars are really helpful. :p I'm actually ahead of my friend for the first time in a couple of days! I was so tired yesterday I fell asleep onto my keyboard and didn't wake up again until morning when I tried to write, so I stayed a bit behind for a while. :p

    Ahaha.

Yes, gimme your words. Even though that's cheating and probably would make no sense in my story. :p

I've never done word wars. I might have to give it a go.

What's your NaNo site name? :D I'm MelisendeDUpheaul - you might not wanna word war with me when I'm so far ahead from my own battle, but it'd be nice to see how you're doing anyway so I can encourage you. :D *collecting up NaNo buddies*

Some of the words I've been using most are "poet" and "river" - see if you can get them both into the next chapter. Go write now! :p

I'm Eunoia on Nano too. :p

I could probably fit 'poet' and 'river' in. I would write now, but 'The Witches' is on.. I shall write when that's finished. :D

Nononono, The Witches beats Free Willy every time.

I'm having a heavy night of writing tonight. Hoping to get past the 3K mark ideally. Any targets in mind for today/tonight/this weekend folks?

    [edit]

Should point out that if anyone has a weirdo called 'Symchicken' adding them as a writing buddy on nanowrimo...that would be me!

Good luck Phlogiston :D I really hope you'll hit your mark. (I've added you and I like your nick)

So far, I think I'm doing pretty well with 12K. Also I signed for challenge to write 10k by the end of the weekend, not so sure if I'm gonna manage.

No, but I guess if I don't end up really lagging over the next few days, I'll just write to the end of the story instead of the word count... Which I guess would be more of a challenge to me, since I'm great at starting stories and writing loads. :p

No way. 'Free Willy' is the best. I have the urge to include a killer whale in my story now. Hmm, now there's a challenge..

I was supposed to catch up today..but uhh, I haven't, other things got in the way.

I was wondering who that weirdo was.. ;)

Grats, Unit7 and everyone else who is chugging along.

I've stayed on schedule and hit the 10k mark today. Too bad the site is so busy that I can't connect to update. Heh.

    Thanks Tessie.

I'm still getting the over capacity message when I try to connect, but I'll just check back later. I might even *queue dramatic music* get a little ahead on tomorrow's word count while I'm waiting.
