    I'm in.

It's my first time, too. I'm trying to stifle my inner editor. Maybe during the frenzy I'll actually get something done.

10:43am here. 2268 words =). So, how do we do this? Do we edit our original post with the new word count or do we post another post?

    It's 5pm here and I've written 1,813 words.

Nowhere near like what I wanted, but I'm having issues with my MP3 player and can't switch off from the kids running around. Hopefully I'll be able to add another K to that once the brats are in bed.

    (I love them really)

Any one participating in the National Novel Writing Month? Anyone participated in the past? Did you enjoy it? This will be my first year to enter.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about--here's a link.

3:28 p.m. Do you know where your NaNo is? I've got 2,321 words... the highest of anyone who's posted so far! *gloats*

Okay. Well, anybody else dead tired? I stayed up till midnight last night just to write a few hundred words for the formality of it, then I finished up the first chapter a few minutes ago. I'll probably work on it a little more tonight, if I don't spontaneously combust, first...

    What do you mean, fanatical?...

Day day down, 0 words - chew on that

Its 8am thought and im aobut to start (had to, HAD to finish something before i started this.

The person who created this COULD put up a list of people tand have them PM them for updates, that would make it very easy to see how people are doing

    Just a suggestion....you know ;)

At the end of day one, 1795 words. I was hoping for more on a Satuyrday, but hopefully as I get past the beginnings, the words will flow more readily.

I figured I'd try this this year. Unfortunatly I'm pulling out an old story concept that's a spin off of The Book of the Moon and i've made so many changes to it's base source that I'm completely redoing the outline XD.

    November 1, 2008 (Completed Outlining)
November 2, 2008 (4,858 Words, Chapters One and Two complete)
    November 3, 2008 (9,935 Words, Chapters One-Four Complete)
November 4, 2008 (14,567 Words, Chapters One-Six Complete, Seven partial)*
    November 5, 2008 (16,174 Words, Chapters One-Seven Complete)
    November 6, 2008 (No change)

    * I don't know how much more I can do today. It's election day and I'm not sure how that will work out. I can think o a dozen things that can go wrong with my typical luck in these matters XD. EDIT: Voting went OK, better than I'd expected it too XD.

Last year: 72K on a WIP thriller in a European language.

Now: overambitious so I want to write two NaNos = 100K.
I have 7,706 words on an English-language fanfiction, and I'll start later (sometime between now and Nov 16) on another WIP thriller in a European language.

Struggled to make the 3376, only managed it because it was the weekend. I don't see any way I can maintain this pace during the work week. :(

Some 11,300 in three days. Pretty much on target for my plans, but not outstanding. I can't afford to lose even one day.

Chiming in a bit late here but:
It's day three, 4.23pm and I'm at 4,012... hopefully will add a little to that this eve.

Is anyone else using the NaNoWriMo to kick start a project?
