It's cuz a star is the literal mother of all life at some point, and a black hole is the ghost of a grandma star, I'd wager. The character's female, anyway.
Okay, I guess semi-recent events (a couple months ago and I'm only now getting wind of this) have given me a reason to restart the discussion. Scientists managed to take a picture of a black hole. This is nuts because in theory it should be impossible, due to nothing, not even light, being able to escape a black hole. This is huge because we've never actually had a frame of reference for what a black hole looks like, which might aid us in this discussion on the Black Hole Avatar. And then Weebs happened, and we got Black Hole-chan Which is actually pretty cool, I never thought of that appearance (mostly because I got the idea from Adromeda, and the avatar that appeared was nuts and was basically just a brunnete woman with a boyfriend complex)
Just because we can't see into the event horizon of the black hole itself doesn't mean we can't see everything happening around it Would you like to check out this explanation of what each part of the photo means?
could it be that the image of the black hole is in the centre and the light around it is comes from a source beyond it.
