    Hmmm

    Top 5 bands.

That would have to require a lot of thought.....a loooooot XD but Queen would certainly be up there. My favorite Queen songs gotta be Killer Queen, Fat Bottomed Girls, Prophet's Song, Don't Stop Me and Radio Gaga but I love all their work.

Also you get mega props for having Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Avicii, Third Eye Blind, Guns N Roses, Styx, Elton John and all sorts of people and groups. You've great taste in music :D

I need to get more up there though. I remember when I was younger hearing all of these epic songs, but now I have to find them all again. This time though I'm writing all of my songs down, so I never forget them.

Ironically I don't listen to Springsteen too much. There's one or two songs by him I know, but he's one of my least favorite singers. No offense to any Springsteen fans. :confuzled:

How about The Rolling Stones? They are Bruce Springsteen's only equal in my opinion.

I see you have some of their hit singles on your list -- have you listened to any of their albums from start to finish? I had pretty much no familiarity with them and then I listened to some of their albums on a recommendation: Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main St. Most of my favorite songs by them are on those albums. Sympathy for the Devil is the best of those (and you have listed it), along with Gimme Shelter, Sister Morphine, Monkey Man, and You Can't Always Get What You Want.

Aerosmith is my all time fav band, so much as I have a tattoo of the wings on my arm. I still love the hair bands on the 80's and even some pop music from the 80's and 90's. as for today's music, i hear a song I like now and again but for the most part there is to love for it.

The Bad Plus anyone? Jazz trio. They usually do pop covers. I just discovered an album of theirs with vocals. This one is really good:

Other: I would lay pretty long odds that you have never heard of my favorite bands.

From the ones you listed, I really like We the Kings, especially their songs: "Check yes Juliet" and "Say you like me". Other bands/groups I like are mostly 90's and 2000's punk bands; Florence+the machine,Owl City, pop-punk bands such as There for Tomorrow and Mae and I also like EDM music a lot.
I know, my music tastes are a little weird haha!

Beatles, Rolling stones, and the Doors. ;)

    I love a lot of 60s/70s/80s music.

Old and new Metal, EDM, Dark Minimal, Industrial, Hybrid Orchestral, Hybrid Rock, Hard Trance

Just easier to list genre/subgenre, as I listen to anything that I find pleasing to listen to.

I don't listen to bands so much as I listen to songs. I have hundreds of songs that I listen to regularly, but

Except for Within Temptation :D This band has released fewer than 10 albums in the last 20 years, but they have well over a dozen songs that I love and about another dozen that I don't mind every once in a while.

*Within Temptation released a covers album a couple of years ago. Again, I don't normally like more than 1 or 2 of a given band's original songs, but WT has over half a dozen covers that I love and only one that I know I don't like, and I haven't even listened to the entire album yet.

*The playlist that I listen to the most is "songs that make me think of Disney's Frozen" of which I have 17 so far. Within Temptation is one of only 2 bands to have more than one song included in that playlist (two originals and a The Who cover), and even the second band (Evanescence with two original songs) is one of WT's most common comparisons.

*Again, there are hundreds of songs that I regularly listen to, and a lot of them can lean pretty heavily into the PG13 territory, but barely even 10 of them can be considered seriously R-rated. Within Temptation is the only band to have produced more than one of them (an original and a Mumford & Sons cover).

 Should I try to make a comprehensive list of the different WT songs specifically?
