Illustration?

    Did your husband do your avatar? If he did; then you have no worries.

    Send your work off and see what response you get, trial and error.

    Sadly no, my avatar is a CMB Flower Fairy :)
    My husband is talented though. I also hope that as he already has a feel for the book, that will show through in his illustrations.
    I guess it is all just a numbers game?

    Hi Flump,

    If I was in your position, I would send out the ms first to agents/publishers and if someone showed interest and then only when my foot was well in the door, would I mention the illustrations.

    yes, that would be the most wisest course to take...

    the text will have to sell you to an agent or publisher, if your husband is unknown in the art world and most won't even allow artwork to be submitted, so if your text isn't good enough to interest anyone, then you'll have no chance to ask if you can submit the illustrations...
