I think perhaps he was just a soul who'd lost his way and tripped over habits long engrained. It is a thing with which I have some familiarity.

I have a deep love of Brazilian music. Saudade is a favorite topic about which to sing in their culture. For anyone else unfamiliar with the word, it's pronounced sau-dah-dzhe.

Isn't there a rather famous song with that as the chorus? I didn't know it was Brazilian Portugese, like most Americans, I assume everything from High Church Latin to French is probably Mexican Spanish, but....

I am an auto sado-masochist, and like my pain. I think that is a big part of
why I am still single, as most don't understand me.

Though I have not found a woman that can give me what I want, within reason.

 

I understand it, on an intellectual level, I've known several people who are that way. I'm nowhere near that extreme though.

 

I'm sure there is. Again, it's a favorite topic for ballads and Jazz Samba.

Marcelo Camelo and Mallu Magalhães are wonderful in that song. Strangely, I found that song through a short Brazilian film called Eu Não Quero Voltar Sozinho (I Don't Want to Go Back Alone) about a romance that evolves between the handsome new boy in school and a blind boy who already attends there. There's a scene where the young blind boy and his gal-pal (who is so in love with him, poor thing) are singing that song. Anywho... got made into a full length feature called Hoje Eu Quero Voltar Sozinho (retitled in English to: The Way He Looks).

That poor girl's face when he said he loves Gabriel!! And he's blind, you didn't say he was blind. When I was in 5th grade I spent all my time in the library learning braille and ASL. I don't know why. I think it was because of Helen Keller actually. Showing my weird I am putting this on my list for when I have more time

You only said it twice, in the first post. The rule is once per line or sentence, whichever occurs more frequently, in each post. At least that's what I need to do with my students with instructions like "Times New Roman, indent, 12 point"

So yeah, if you have Netflix, you'll find it under its English title: The Way He Looks. The three young actors reprise their original roles, though things play out differently enough from the original to be worth a watch.

 

I DO have Netflix. Do people still not have Netflix? Or Hulu?

 

I don't have either. Actually, I have a bit of stock in Netflix, but I don't, you know, have Netflix. I'm told I'm missing out. The truth is I'm just giving everyone else a head start to make it fair.

 

They're all I have, got rid of cable a couple of years ago. I don't really watch them except for when I'm cooking or something.

And also, if you'd like to get rid of that Netflix stock I have some amazing, prime, waterfront property in Arizona. We can totally make a deal

 

Only show I try to keep up with is the Big Bang Theory. Otherwise
I don't watch television at all.

 

Netflix stock is on the way up. It will make me rich in 129 years. I have ten shares. Which one do you want?

 

I used to love that show. I really only watch GoT, and mostly because I'm in love with Arya Stark. Not like creepy I love children paedo love, like damn I'd really like to be her friend and see if I could keep her from killing me kind of love.
