A friend of a friend just invited me to said mutual friend's surprise birthday party, and asked me to invite all of my side of her friend group to join too.

    Except:

    1. My side of birthday girl's friend group is predominantly male & probably aren't going to agree to come to a party where they literally made the theme "sexy emo Kylo Ren" from the new Star Wars films.
    2. I. don't trust these boys to keep a secret if their own lives depended on it. I'd invite them, and someone (I'm looking at you, davi, you awful little spoilsport you) is gonna let slip to birthday girl that peeps are throwing her a sexy kylo ren surprise party. Just casually comment on it, like "Hey, so B, you excited about your Star Wars party? Never understood why you're so into Adam Driver. I'm literally not coming just because the thought of all the inevitable fangirl decorations makes me want to puke, but like, I'm sure you're excited about it right?"
But I don't know how to be like "yeah, you know how you asked me to invite all her other friends and that like I just have that one job? Yeah, no, not doing that."

As Larry Enticer once said about party invitations, you just "gotta' send iiiiit". (skip to 10 seconds)

Seriously though, you should just tell your friend that they can't keep a secret. And if it is insisted that you invite them anyways, then it isn't really your problem if they let the cat out of the bag, because you can just say "I told you so".

    Earp's Elements of Style

It's not 'all present and accounted for', it's 'all present or accounted for'. If you're present, I don't need to account for you.

It's not 'innocent until proven guilty', it's 'innocent unless proven guilty'. Guilt isn't a foregone conclusion.

If I reschedule my meeting from January 4th to January 8th, I'm not 'pushing it back', I'm moving it forward.

I'm actually confused on the last one.

As someone once said somewhere on the internet (https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/156973/brought-forward-and-pushed-back):

The above analogy is how I always personally understood it.

Because while time moves forward to the future and back towards the past.

Events move in time forward towards the imminent present and back towards the future.

I think I may have subconsciously based the design concept for the Uldivarions
on Franken Fran, and that is before I started reading the Manga which is really
    good by the by. :p

Spit-shined my shoes last week, they've been in shoe-bags to keep them from getting dusty. Brushed my good suit, found my fancy waistcoat, learned how to tie a bow-tie then decided that one didn't look right, so it's a traditional necktie, spent half an hour going through the squares yesterday 'til I found the right one...

It's the social event of the year.

No, it's the social event of the year, we only get one, gotta look good.

Well that was a fun little misadventure of a series. The last chapter
the creator had a quasi interview with the characters which was
    interesting.
Not sure what to focus on now that it is over. Kinda sad it ended.
Oh well back to the salt mines I suppose. :)

Bet your ass I watched the whole video. Great song. Great band. Great video. Got to love the simplicity of the 80s.

Funny story: I brought Billy Gibbons breakfast at the casino at about 7:30am and he was dressed in full concert regalia while he sat on the couch watching TV. Hat, chains, gauntlets, glasses, everything. Modern day me would have said, "Hey, man, do you ever take that shit off?" Nineteen year old me was just trying not to spill the coffee.

So the plural of medium (a means or substance of doing something)

Latin plural would be media, but then that now has a strong connotation of a form of mass communication.

Medium has been anglicised, so mediums should be acceptable. But it also sounds more like multiple speakers for the dead.

    So which is your preference?

I still parse media as it's usually used as multiple forms of mass communication, so I'd be fine with media as the plural.

The beautiful interval between your bank account texting you you're out of funds

And knowing you get paid in the morning

I mean, is dinner really necessary?

    I thought not.
