Did Marc Bolan walk upright? Nooo.... I don't believe that.

 

Oh... Who's this "Mark" Bolan? Idiot kid brother?

 

It's true. Also, recent science suggests he was covered in feathers, and used his proto-wings for balance when tearing flesh from his prey.

 

I'm just as lost as you are.

 

You both would understand if you were fossilised enough.

More T Rex



I used to cycle past the bridge in Putney where his Mini crashed. A little shrine there.

 

Thanks for the T. Rex clips by the way, guys. A lot of my music idols named T. Rex and Marc Bolan as favorites or influences, but aside from "Bang a Gong" and "20th Century Boy" my T. Rex knowledge is zilch.

So, my sister lives in a tiny little town in the Ozarks...

Latest Big Doin's: the town got an Uber! One. As in one driver.

Sis, who used to be my roomie in L.A., texted me:

"So now I live in a one Uber town..."

Side note: the Uber driver works at Walmart, so it's only available during limited hours.

 

"I need a ride."
"Be there in six hours."
"Okay."

 

Yes! That's it exactly! But, you know...Progress.

There are a lot of wonky versions of things like this in Sis's town. It's one of those places where people move to escape their former Big City lives and become writers or artists or whatever. Then they discover the reality of no conveniences, so things go a bit...sideways.

Town has one stoplight, by the way. One Uber, one stoplight.

 

Uber translates to Over, so I suspect in that case that it
is more of a layover between rides.
