    Apparently the Aussies were taking the piss out of us last week, because of the fuss we made about hitting temperatures of 100°

    Yeah, I get it, that's 'cold' for you, bladabladebla, but you failed to acknowledge one small fact. We don't live in fucking Australia!

    So cannabis is now legal in Canada. How does one go about purchasing the stuff if that’s the case? Does it mean you can simply walk into a newsagents and say “Twenty Canabis Light, please.” ?

    A completely theoretical question (because I'm bored shitless, although genuinely interested to know the views on);

    If smoking was proven to be completely harmless and cigarettes were free of charge, would you take it up? I can guess the answer myself for ex-smokers, but what about you non-smokers?

    As for me, I'm pretty sure I would. Reasons being I honestly think it would stop my snacking, and let's face it, it looks very cool when done right.

    You know I've never seen that film. Might have to rectify that with the sequel due out. Having said that I've seen enough clips etc from the original to see that the new one (judging by the trailers) is a straight-out homage to Tony Scott's style.

    So I've got this bartender who isn't the sharpest tool in the drawer. Great kid, hard worker, but a bit lacking in the literacy department. Anyhow, he knows one big word: discrepancy. And he uses it constantly. Sometimes correctly (when one thing doesn't agree with another) but more often incorrectly (like for any garden variety mistake). Just tonight he broke a bottle of Bud Lite, and when I asked him how his night went he says, "The only discrepancy was the bottle of beer I broke." To which, I just nodded my head and sent him on his way.

    He sounds like a Marine staff sergeant. They're big on (mis)learning one or two big words as well. Many of them think the best way to frame a direct order is to use "It would behoove you to..." AKA, "Formation is at 0700, it would behoove you to be there."

    Yeah, no shit.
