Hi, I posted a story in the wrong place. In short stories writing form and instead of writing workshop. I have looked to repost in writing workshop and cannot see how. I think I've met the criteria unless it's only novels you are meant to feed back on. Could the story be moved? It's an excerpt / intro called held up. If not can someone let me know where I stand re criteria. Thanks
You have to be a member here for 14 days, so it seems you should be able to post it tomorrow to the correct sub-forum. If you can't, let me know. Requirements are threefold: You must be registered for 14 days You must make 20 posts forum-wide You must post 2 constructive reviews for each piece of writing you post
Thanks. I think I've done more than 2 constructive reviews. The only thing is they have been short, not to bump my post count but because it's mainly short stories I read. I think that's one of the more active forums. I held off reviewing a lot of stuff that's nearly a year old. I'm not sure if those are dead posts or whatever.
Hi. It says I have level zero illiterate monkey level privileges and may not post my hacky take on fiction. I'm not sure if my posts don't meet the critique standard. I try to make sure it's all constructive. Can anyone fill me in where I stand with that?
I suspect it just hasn't caught up with your 14 days yet … see if you can get in tomorrow (sometimes the wheels in the server get stuck and Wrey has to clout them with the ban hammer whilst swearing in Spanish) Your level of crit looks fine to me and you've done about 5
ignore matt - he lives in his own little world which only randomly connects with reality allowing random thoughts and snatches of text to leak through a rip in the space time continuum. The powers that be tolerate it because he's funny more often than he's irritating
I mean, there's also the scientists investigating the phenomenon. Anthropologists, Evolutionary Theorists, Zymurgists...
Mettalurgists gynocologists and astrologists, What's happening? Anyway I've moved the story / introduction/ excerpt. Let me know what you think. It has weaknesses. Also what's the custom in terms of editing a story on feedback. Do you edit the original post ( making the critique seem random ) Or repost the whole story
Do not edit the original post. Just post a new version downthread. If you want you can add to the original post a mention of the new version, but don't change the original snippet you've posted.
