I was just sitting here listening to Last.fm radio, and wondered who else on the Forum might use last.fm If now what other internet radio sites do you listen to?
Here at work, we alternate between Pandora and Slacker Radio. Usually, whoever is working most in the stock room gets to pick the station. Today it's Ross, who is 70 years old. So, smooth jazz all day long.
I use last.fm occasionally. (Usually when I want to listen to some ambient stuff.) Other than that I have my own media player playlist or I use youtube's playlist feature. I have also used Pandora, but sometimes they select some really odd stuff for what I've chosen.
Last.fm is good and pandora is bad? Okay, not really. I think Last.fm has a MUCH larger selection of music though, so I like it better.
Usually I stick to iTunes, just for being able to choose exactly what I feel like and it's all there. Otherwise, if I'm at the computer and don't have iTunes, Pandora's what I use.
I'm not very familiar with Last.fm, but I would venture a guess that it probably has a wider array of music than pandora. I like using pandora but I don't think they have a very large music selection.
Cool, so does anyone want to share their last.fm or pandora username (assuming pandora works the same) so that we can check out each others taste in music? I use the same name everywhere on the internet: Losthawken
I use Last.fm, though not its radio function, just the chart side of things for music I have and listen to already. I make use of their recommendations frequently, also. My user name there is the same as here, just with the addition of an underscore: Gone_Wishing.
