Which decade has the better slang, 80s or 90s? Does this thread make you want to say Barf Me Out! (80s) or make you want say As If! (90s)
I was part of the 00's slang in the uk, in a particularly ghoulish ghetto high school that got shut down the year after I finished... terms used included ''phat'', ''mint'', ''minging'' and ''sick''... there were also crazes of mini skateboards you pushed along with your fingers, pokémon cards, yoyos that lit up and even bendy pencils made of rubber believe it or not lol.
Maybe having lived through it personally, I prefer the slang of the nineties. Thing is, a lot of these slang terms really only existed movies. Nobody I know actually called something "da bomb" or told someone to talk to the hand. My parents said they heard maybe one person in fifty actually say "groovy."
