I am an aspiring writer trying to get back on my feet, creatively speaking. I've written a fair amount of fanfiction on and off for about half my life, but I haven't had the self-driven motivation to push myself with a challenge, and I really want to focus on writing original material (not that fanfiction isn't fun!). The past few years have been interesting, to say the least, but I'm finally in a place where my writing can take priority again, and I am excited to see what I am capable of. My goal is to improve on my technical skills, as well as the organization and planning methods that will get my ideas onto paper, and completed. I'm a reader, currently into a lot of YA fantasy and paranormal, but I also enjoy sci fi and horror. I've recently been delving more into poetry, though I feel like something I don't "get" it, but it's been interesting. I am excited to get involved in this community! It's been a while since I've been on a forum, but I'm ready to go!
Greetings, welcome, and salutations to the Forum, sirette. Sounds like you are an outliner, and not a pantser. Many do favor the framing over writing on the fly (or as you go). As far as getting the words on the page, and out. Well that is dependent on how dedicated to the story you are. And have a knack for enjoying editing. Good luck with your works, and C-ya around.
