Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and for this reason, I don't want to mess up. Since beginning, I have posted two or three commentaries, but I still have lingering doubts as to whether I am a force for good or bad. What is the best way to ensure that I help the target writer on to greater things? I don't want to leave them in the dark but neither do I want them to put them under the spotlight. What advice do you have for this newbie? regards, Talltailor
Simple answer, you're worrying over nothing. Just getting a response to your efforts is good enough, and unless that response is blatantly and purposely rude and offensive, it's going to be invaluable. Just state whether or not you liked it, and then try and explain your reasoning.
I’ve just posted this on a very similar thread. https://www.writingforums.org/threads/constructive-critiques.20627/#post-408268 Should guide you in the right direction.
