    Speaking of grammar (and rules & such)

    In the sense that you should never let rules inhibit or silence you, only apply them when you feel your writing sounds wrong.

    Exactly true. As it undoubtedly will if you're unaware of the function and don't have some respect the effect of rules, to begin with.
