MindNode started a subscription plan a while back. No question, that stinks. However, at $20/year it's not bad and you get both the MacOS and IOS versions. MindNode is actively developed. I see they announced MindNode subscribers are soon to get expanded outlining. They've always had an outline view, but it's not been terribly inspiring. MindNode sounds like it's going to get a lot stronger in 2021.
