Hello, I'm Ordo, or at least on here I am. I am sixteen; I enjoy writing (duh!) and reading. I want to teach High School English later on, and have two English classes this semester; so I might be posting my work for those classes for your opinions before turning it in. Otherwise, hey.
Hey there! Welcome to the forums, its nice to have you here and I look forward to seeing you around and maybe reading your work if/when you post it. One quick point with that is that you should critique 2 pieces of work before submitting your own.
It is possibly a testament to just how much I'm not with it today, that I laughed at the title of this thread... Anyway, welcome aboard the crazy train, exits are here and here, but unfortunately are permanently sealed for the protection of the general public. I hope that you enjoy our writing resources, and our generally nutty demeanor. For straight-jackets in a variety of sizes and colours, please see Kit (the gorgeous, magenta-clad gal whose post precedes mine). If you have any problems or questions, please feel free to ask, I'm always happy to help
Hello there and welcome - a pleasure to have you! I see most of the welcoming committee has gotten here ahead of me - should you have any questions for us fire away and I look forward to our meeting in the threads.
Hello Ordo, Welcome to the Writing Forums. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room on this site, therefore, is a true workshop, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
