    Enough! I quit!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Cogito, Apr 1, 2008.

This has become a thankless, frustrating drain on my time, and the latest crop of malcontents crapping in my PM box and email is the last straw.

    Auf Weidersehen, adios, goodbye!

Oh for Christ sakes Cog, just scare the crap out of me why don't you :p

Fortunately the only prank I had played on me was having my avatar changed on deviantART (as did everyone else) :p It's actually quite hilarious, every single avatar is the same-

    No idea what it means.

When I read this my initial reaction was
"WTF Cogito? Have you gone nuts?"

Then I read the next post and laughed. Definately a good one that is for sure. :p

The site ran quite well without me for a long time, but I appreciate the sentiment.

Man, have respect for the heart patients. I'm not one, but my heart is ;)
Anyway, good one! From the title I assumed it would be a joke or news clipping. From the first post I became suspicious of Cogito. I thought: drunk too much?
Because yeah, I know you're nuts, just needed to become nut cereal. :p

LOL, and I was thinking for the first time someone won't make an April fool of me. Well it wasn't hard, figuring no one tried to this time. Ok, Happy Bakra Din people Bakra Din as in Goat's Day, or in other words Fool's Day...lol......I'll tell you the story how April Fool's day came to be known as Bakra Din.

Once upon a time there was a Bakra, he was born in the snowy landscape of Himalaya. He was great politician bakra and two steps ahead of all people and bakras, so when he died, people decided to honour him and declared his b'day as Bakra Din.

I doubt anyone understood this. But they showed this add on MTV and it was so funny seeing a Bakra( which is hindi for Goat), dressed as human.

    LOL

Bakra Din, huh? I like that, Goat Day. Sounds less insulting than Fools Day, and emphasizes the capricious nature of the jokes.

(And yes, the word capricious was chosen deliberately, not so much as a pun as because it's the most appropriate word.)

ha ha! my hindi teacher would raise hell if she ever heard e calling a bakra bsksr...lol...as it she's already wary of m because she's got this notion that I hink in Eng and then convert to hindi. But I so totally don't, when it comes to paneer and other edibles, it's totally in Hindi...

ohk here's a toast to April Fool's day...in short to the fools...a pun.....let's see you get it........

In hindi momentary is called chanit, only we pronounce it as shanit. Now my friend told her mom that Mrs. N.A. Singh had fobidden us to pronounce any word with ch as sh........so her mom told her to ask her how she would pronounce kaksha....loll.......I'll explain. Kaksha is hindi fo class.......but if we call it with ch....it'll become kachcha..lol......which is hindi for.......lol........underwear...LOL

Hell, I'm terrible in Hindi. Basically because I only knew a few words, like 'shoba', 'dharm', 'karm', 'jeevan','yog' and a couple others.

Though I'm not sure of the meaning anyway! (Okay, jeevan is life, dharm is duty, or is karm duty?)

Ah, makes sense...actually, our second language is either English or Punjabi, which is real pain in the neck. :p Well, my first language is Urdu, the only reason I know Hindi words to an extent are the Indian dramas.
I can equate your Sanskrit to Arabic, since Sanskrit is like the language of your holy books, and Arabic is the language of our holy book. But the twist in the story is that we don't need to learn Arabic, just need to know how to read the Arabic scripture. 0_0 That's weird, I know.

And by Indian draas you meant Ekta Kapoor's serials??? You know Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, and the current Kuch Is tarah etc.......?? BTW.......you watch Roadies??????? on MTV..??

Lol, thank God no French and German here. Enough with Urdu, Punjabi, English and some part of Arabic.

Yes, Ekta Kapoor's dramas. I used to watch them, but I quit them quite a while back. No offense, but they're not my type. And no, I never watch MTV anyway, so there it all goes.
