Well, no, i mean they still have them on new years (The photo i sent was of Sydney on new years) and if you have money you can do private ones, but they banned them for use normal people DOnt get me wrong on new years hundred of houses in every suburb blast all their illegal fireworks. Just means we gotta [ay more if you know what i mean. But no more bonfires....we kinda live in a dry country , it must worry them!

I thought it was. Was beginning to worry that this was a recent thing and I've had my head in the clouds for too long! Actually thinking about it, you're quite right, bonfires in Aus might be a huge danger. It completely skipped my mind that there are so many brush fires and all that - clearly I've had too much to drink at this little shindig already! Just think it's not even noon! Well, hopefully they'll be lots of videos uploaded this year and we can share the bonfire goodness with you guys -you'll be there in spirit. We'll raise a glass to you tomorrow eve.

I've seen bonfire night celebrations before, but I've never seen the famed Lewes celebrations Everywhere in the country celebrates bonfire night, after all. And I'm not sure where we'll be. Do you have any suggestions?
Hehe! Two cakes!! And this one reveals my age! Brilliant, it's beautiful cake and I hereby make it many different flavours with the first one being carrot cake with a mascapone frosting, the second layer can be a chocolate fudge with rum icing, the third a cheeky little blueberry marble sponge and the fourth can be a classic victoria. Yummy!! Thanks Nilfiry!! It's amazing. As for the present ... ... stares excitedly into the box ... Woohoo! I'm being rather spoilt here! It really was anything I wanted!
Ah, but you said your flatmates hadn't - truly I was shocked! Well, Lewes is pretty amazing wherever you go but if you can nestle in on the Cliffe bonfire action or Lewes Borough you're in good hands, they're the oldest of the bunch with the longest history.
