Hi there, Mags from Melbourne Australia. Hope everyone is fine, fit and well. I love to write... No kidding ha? Ha ha. Looking forward to joining in on the fun and games here at the forum as well. regards Mags.
Welcome to Writing Forums, Mags! I hope you find what you're looking for here, whatever your interests in writing. This forum aims to provide the best workshopping resources on the internet, and to that end we have a few rules which you should familiarise yourself with before you get stuck in. The main section of the site is the Writing Workshop, where members can post their writing in order to receive critique of their work. However, before we allow members to post their work, they must have met some basic requirments. Firstly, you must have been a member for fourteen days, and have made twenty posts on the forum overall (please note, posts in Word Games do not count towards this). This is so that members, when they post their work, have familiarised themselves with the forums and contributed to them (as well as hopefully learned something for themselves). Secondly, members must provide two constructive reviews of other people's work for each piece of their own that they wish to post. This is because we believe that the focus of workshopping should be equally upon giving reviews as receiving them, as they allow a writer to practice and improve their editing skills, which they can then apply to their own writing. Beyond the Writing Workshop, you will find that we have extensive forums for discussion of aspects of writing, as well as a community area for general discussion. We also run periodic short story and poetry contests, which are good for challenging yourself and expanding your skills. If you have any questions or problems, then the moderators (myself and Cogito) should be your first port of call. Any technical problems with the site itself should be directed to Daniel, the site administrator and owner. I would recommend you have a look over the rules so that you know what to expect, and what is expected. But aside from that, I hope you enjoy your time here. Banzai
Oh thanks for the heads up Banzai. I will check things out; reading and writing. Thanks for the welcome. MM
Hey, Mags! I'm new here, too. Just thought I'd say hello...and that I love your profile picture. Gotta say, it's the cutest I've seen so far! Ta ta for now, L a u r a
Welcome Thanks Laura. She is our new kitten, we picked her up yesterday. Actually she has changed colour a bit. She is now black and white, not grey and white. But she is still a honey.
I'm a dog girl too. I have a 5 yr old as well. I believe little kitty has already put her in place. Ha ha.
That kitten looks like a little fluff ball. Makes me miss the kitten stage! You sound like my wife too with the you being a dog lady. We have cats, but she wants a dog. We can't get a dog until we rent/buy a house.
Which is fair enough too. We have a small place so we baught animals to suit. Small dog and cat. Otherwise it's unfair on the pets really. To be honest, I am an animal person, but don't really like them inside the house. And that so called little ball of fluff is an acrobat. Getting into all sorts of situations and scenarios. Ha ha. Actually she has changed her colour now and is black and white. But still gorgeous of course.
Haha I like them indoor because I'm a lap cat type of person. Maybe it's because they are like my personality in that I'm a bit of a lazy guy. The couch is one of my favourite spots in the house hahah . Plus cats are a little bit more self sufficient.
Hello, I am also new to this forum and just looking for some ways to improve my stay here any suggestions?
Ha ha... Well she's indoors at the moment. She's teeny-tiny. We have stray foxes in the area, too dangerous to let out I'm afraid. Oh and yes, I love her sleeping on my lap as well. Her purring is so soothing. Oh welcome to the forum as well.
