    Keyboard (musical) recommendations?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by jacklondonsghost, Apr 26, 2010.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a used keyboard (of the musical variety) to buy, does anyone have any suggestions as to brands/models?

What about the standard? Something like Yamaha?

I'd pick Yamaha myself, simply because that's the brand I'm familiar with and most people seem to use it.

You can use another brand, but they'd be a bit more difficult to find.

I know that my best friend uses a Korg and is quite happy with it and would recommend it.

Emily (member here) recently got a keyboard if i remember correctly. You could always hit her up for information.

A quick google search brings up quiet a chunk of info. But there may be a few in here which can help.

Most certainly can't go wrong with Korg. Would be interesting to see what prices they are selling for used. (Time to ebay search me thinks).

Cool, thanks guys. I'll check out some used Korgs or Yamahas at the Guitar Center in town.

I did get a keyboard. I got a Casio, I like it just fine, except that mine was used and the AC power port is bad and I have to use batteries. But that's probably an age thing.

One of my friends has a really nice keyboard, I'll get the info for you tomorrow.
