I work with computers a lot, both at home and at work, and have been frustrated with my current one at home. I want to get a new one, preferably one more suitable for writing, which would work for other types of work also. I'm looking for the more mechanical ones as they are supposed to be better for long periods of writing. But there are so many, with matching variances in price. I love the Azio Retro, it's a bit steampunk, mechanical, and I dig the design; but it's expensive and a bit of a waste of money if it doesn't live up to its billing. I don't mind paying good money though as long as it works. Thought I would ask you guys, since you are likely to use keyboards a lot. Are there any favourites among the writers here? Regards. Kris. PS - Sorry if this is in the wrong area, couldn't find a technical part to the forum to post this.
This photo is about writer's block but there is a keyboard which is ok. Magic Keyboard with numeric pad + Magic Trackpad2. ©Alan Aspie
I use an ergonomic keyboard both at work and at home: I'm not completely sure whether it actually helps, but I initially found it more comfortable, and am now used to it
Perhaps that's what works in the end, what you get used to. Just never got used to the Logitech compact keyboard I use now.
