Just wondering what everyone would think of this... that if you were to have one more meal ever, what would it be? Simple of extravagant? Ethnic or regional? ...I think Thanksgiving would be good. I absolutely love cranberries.
Hard to decide... probably some kind of indian curry with all the sides - chilli and garlic naan, fancy rice, etc. I could eat that stuff until exploding. Yum...
Strawberries with sugar and double cream...followed by five fried egg yolks and the skin peeled from ten roasted chicken thighs...followed by a tub of BandJ's Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
Apple crumble with plenty of custard. A slice of heaven before going to hell... ...And now I'm hungry. Thanks...
Ummm where to start. I like chicken curry, I'd have a big 'ol helping of that. and some english triffle, and a triple chocolate cake. I've only had Creme Brulee once, I'll have some of that. And a double double. I'd need a gyro too. I'd be dead before I finished my last meal if the options were endless.
Fresh Strawberries, rare lamb chops (with mint jelly), two blood oranges, homemade potato chips, an avocado with lime, Tandori shrimp, sweet and sour chicken (rice made with coconut milk rather than water), crab legs (prepared New Orleans style), a slice of chicago deep dish pizza, steak (rare and bloody) with three fried eggs and hash browns, a big mac and fries. Dessert: small bowl of vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, cheesecake with cherries, slice of apple pie with american cheese, baked alaska, and a snicker's bar. To drink: 1 large cup black coffee (preferably an itallian brew), A coke, a glass of grapefruit juice, beer (something dark along the lines of 1554 or Guiness), water (to clear the pallet), and to end the meal a Johnny Walker blue on the rocks no water. Also, at least one pack of Lucky Strikes no-filters. My last meal will end with a bad habit I continued to kick for most of my life. (this is from a journal entry a while back, thinking about last meals).
My last meal would be a small child. Preferably one with lean meat, bred for this kind of thing. I'd like him slow cooked in the oven, Hansel and Gretel style. I would prefer if he was bad mannered and nosy about people's homes and greedy. So it makes the meat more tenderized with his negativity. Negativity makes meat juicy.
A good $800 bottle of Champagne. Lobster bisque with a caviar-topped crouton. Lobster grilled over charcoal, with herbed lemon butter Sauteed baby asparagus with Hollandaise. Fresh baked Pumpernickel mini-loaf. Dark chocolate mousse flavored with Grand Marnier. A fine Cognac to finish.
A bowl of good New England clam chowder to start. A small tender steak (filet) with a brandy-peppercorn sauce ... YUM A side of seafood fettuccini, with shrimp and scallops and a light garlic and olive oil sauce A small Caesar salad A serving of fresh peaches and watermelon A slice of my Mom's cheesecake.
Steak or some kind of roast. Fried courgettes and/or peppers. Appenzeller or Gruyere cheese. Proper Italian gelato as dessert.
