I have some short stories and flash fiction pieces I'd like to see published. I write mostly thriller fiction, does anyone have a good idea of some magazines I should be looking at. I've already contacted and made some head way with local magazines, but I'd like a little broader circulation. I also have some novellas that could be part of a collection of short stories is there a good way to get those published.
Your best starting point is www.duotrope.com. It's the best directory of fiction markets on the internet, which you can browse by a number of variables. Have a little look through it, and see if it has what you're looking for.
yup! as far as a collection of stories goes, an unknown new writer hasn't a chance, as there'd be no market for it... you first have to make a name for yourself by having all, or at least some of the stories published to good reviews in reputable magazines/literary journals...
