I just finished re-reading "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer, I had forgotten how much I loved this book. I read it as a teenager and I loved it then and love it now. What are you some good Man Vs. Nature books that you all like that you'd heartily recommend?
Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven. Although there is also a good amount of Man vs. Man brought out by the struggle to survive. A Fall of Moondust by Arthur C Clark. The Poseidon Adventure by Paul Gallico.
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham The Time Machine and Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells Lord of the Flies by William Golding * Most works by Joseph Conrad also are classic examples of this theme * e.g. An outcast of the Islands, Victory
Jack London -- White Fang, The Sea Wolf and Call of the Wild. Hemingway -- Old man and the Sea Melville -- Moby Dick
