I'm in shock. After sending a publisher three sample stories from a personal memoir I planned in April last year, he asked if I had more, so I wrote a book-length manuscript and submitted it in August. After considerable waiting, I got a reply and was told it needed numerous revisions and additions, so I did those and sent version two in in April 2022. Didn't hear back, wrote and asked about it in June and again earlier this week and just yesterday recieved a message. It has been accepted for publication. I have been writing for over 50 years, mostly journalism and fiction and this is the first book proposal I have ever had accepted.
