I know, I'd just like to be able to understand the methods used in each poem, be able to spot technical weaknesses, etc, so if I liked two equally I wouldn't be doing ip dip do.
sorry to be a voice of dissent here, but i don't see that there's anything wrong with members of a community choosing not to vote on competitions, especially if they don't feel competitions belong on a writing site to begin with... so attempting to lay a guilt trip on everyone who chooses not to vote on one is not a great idea, imo... and yes, i did enter this particular one a time or two, some time ago, but thought better of it and haven't done, since... mais, chacun à son goût!
maia, it is my job on the forum to run the poetry contest each week, get participation and get people to vote on them. If you do not wish to have any participation in them, it is your choice, same with any other member of this board. But I will keep pushing the contests and trying to gain more participation in the entry and voting stage of the contests. Regards, Sherie
