You know I don’t think I’ve ever worn an undershirt, or vest as we call them. It’s too many layers, even for the frozen lands of the UK!
I wear it to soak up the sweat, keeps the pits of the main shirt dry. And mine have short sleeves, so not UK vests (tank tops in USian).
I downloaded an app call Focus. It adds a shallow DoF effect to photos, much the same way the Portrait mode on later iPhones does. It can be a little hit and miss, but when it works the results are really quite impressive.
Yeah, it’s nothing special on proper cameras - just a wide aperture, but this app and iPhone’s Portrait mode do it artificially, I think.

First time trying sports photography. This is Marin Cilic about to deliver a 130mph serve during the quarter final at Queens last Friday.

This is a recent photo of my 4-year-old grand-daughter. I love the feel of it; it also captures the essence of Nebraska, the openness and lushness of early summer. To quote Willa Cather in her description of her Nebraska childhood: "“I wanted to walk straight on through the . . . grass and over the edge of the world, which could not be very far away. The light and air about me told me that the world ended here: only the ground and sun and sky were left, and if one went a little farther there would only be sun and sky, and one would float off into them, like the tawny hawks which sailed over our heads making slow shadows on the grass.”
The creepy back hallway I had to get through today. Mind you, that's scaffolding and I don't know how deep it goes. Spoiler: Dark hallway
