    What exactly counts as self depricating humor?

    Apparently the Sonic Boom cartoon is loaded to the brim with it, but in the clips I've seen of it I haven't been able to spot it.

    I think my kids watch this. The other day it had a joke about a female digital hippopotamus being created by adding a pink bow to the character model, which was at the expense of the Sonic franchise's approach to character design.

    If it's the same sonic series I'm thinking of it tries to put a joke in every line of dialogue: more misses than hits but at least there's something for any grownups in the room. I don't think I'd call if self-deprecating - as it's generally a slave to the franchise - it's postmodernist and sometimes mocks itself.
