    Murder

Discussion in 'Research' started by TheAlmightyDada, Feb 24, 2016.

In the US, if you were unhappy with the direction a murder investigation who would you talk to? In my book it’s the Mayor of the town. Would that be correct?

Well you would go to officials in higher courts, because they would have the authority to change things, without necessarily having a personal ties to the people who are, in your opinion, screwing things up. You could also go to the media and call attention to what's going on. The mayor could help, but he probably is more likely to have personal ties to the investigators, especially if it's a small town.

The District Attorney's office would be in charge of the case along with the Police chief (or Sheriff's office).

Dont forget, of course they wouldnt easily accept suggestion from non professionals, no matter how involved they may be. Piss off the right guy and theyd get charged with interference with an investigation.

Exactly. If you're going to tell the police how to do their job, you better have a damn good reason or you're it's your arse.
