Navigating around our Group - Visibility issues

Discussion in 'Military Fiction Discussions' started by Lifeline, Dec 18, 2016.

    • 'Open' groups can be seen by everyone, even guests to the forum (i.e. not logged in).
    • 'Secret' groups and their 'blackboard' can be seen by all forum members, but only group members can view the 'Gallery', 'Events' and 'Forums' tabs.
    • Members-only messages on the 'blackboard' can be viewed by any forum member, but not forum guests.
    • Public messages on the 'blackboard' can be viewed by anyone (even forum guests)
We are a secret group. The above information comes from @Komposten ;)

I removed the quote because of the issue with visibility ;) Figured I'd put the reference up again as soon as it was resolved..

Update just now from Wreybies/I edited the original post from Komposten to the best of my current knowledge:

This group-forum is indeed only visible to group-members. The thread titles show up in 'Recent Threads' for regular members, but if they try to access the post they get an error and can't view.

I suggest we use the blackboard for status back-and-forth, and the forum proper for serious discussions.

And now: Three cheers and beers for Wreybies and Komposten! They have browbeaten the software into shape and have given up considerable time to help us. Thank you guys!

Well hurrah indeed. I guess even the software gremlins are frightened of those big hammers they carry.
