I know boys want to get on telly, but there must be better ways...
So...don't do stupid things that'll get your butt in jail, or in a hospital? I thought that was basic common sense...
Well, when you're a young person and you see the cast of Jackass quite literally make a career of doing the aforementioned, perceptions get skewed.
I don't get it >.>
The jackass guys are clever. This is an elementary school trick, where you cut off a sentence to make it mean something else.
Do you want to dye does not mean do you want to dye your hair. It's incredibly stupid and quite frankly matwoolf I'm surprised in you!
To be fair, he did advise that you never do this.
Hehe I've never heard the jackass guys referred to as clever!
I'll admit considering the current climate its insensitive maybe, some folks trying to do the 'on the edge' comedy i guess but clearly getting it wrong. I did like the second officers reaction, and how stupid is the lad for trying to pull out something from his jacket in that situation. He's lucky he didnt approach an armed unit, that outcome would have been a better watch.
If this happened in the U.S they'd be dead
My son sent it to me. I liked seeing Notting Hill because my daughter was there yesterday. There's loads of other elements I find interesting in it as a slice of life, like the lads' interaction with the police on their overtime duties, the coppers' carnival faces...and the comments underneath. Sorry, I know it's not very sophisticated or clever...I was sitting on my ass and pressed a button.
Really I'd like to make light and mischief - of all our differences - but I know now is not the time, so much.
deletes rant about military, war, and race...I don't have the intellect for political writing...not tooled up for rhetoric, straw men and all the rest of it pfffff, grrrrr.
I do remember Notting Hill 1988 with Big Daddy Kane on the sound system, and a massive crowd of black boys bopping up and down, filled the street to its walls, really intense, masculine stuff, whistles and fists rotating. We came round the corner, my little brother hears the tune, starts hyperventilating 'yaaay Big Dadddy Kane' and flings himself, with his bright ginger head out into the middle of the mosh. I think I was wearing a Smiths t-shirt, something lame :/ **nt.
Sounds bad but i have nothing but disdain for the carnival, every time its on it brings nothing but hassle for me, i cant imagine what its like for the locals that don't enjoy that sort of thing.
i hope that's an exaggeration! i thought deadafying folk was a last resort...
Well, to give you the 'official' type response...it's a celebration of West Indian culture, and a counterpoint to all the Chelsea fatbums who now breed their mortgages round the flag like a gurgling pool of cess... or white sick, yes mmmmm rage, rage...London'll go for independence I reckon, then in 2047 we'll storm the electrified barricades, pitchfork those oligarchs - and the collateral damage people, apols Lae, and I'll be president for just a couple of years. I have already written this story, posted it ten days ago, in fact, just awaiting the rejection now. Yes
I'm not fussed about the celebrations, they're cool i like them. It's the idiots that mar the occasion that piss me off. During the carnival i will get at least 3 to 4 calls of vandalism, asb and on the odd occasion assault. This last one i had to fill out 3 separate cctv request forms for police.
Sorry Lae, I forgot myself for a moment, having one of my militia daydreams. I head the Brighton 4th division of Pike infantry, we perform at the festival? With our hankies and our helmets...on-line too.
Good luck mate, sounds tough your job. I spent half a lifetime working among cops and security guys. I hope you are writing your stories down, people enjoy that kind of thing. Sense you might be moving on to something else though, all the best.
In the U.S? Nope, it's pretty much a first resort.
Cops here are extremely unintelligent and crude.
