New at all of this, but have to write this

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Llewelyn, Jan 20, 2018.

    Hi.

I'm obviously new to the forum, but also, new to writing.

I've tried writing blogs, advice forums, etc etc.
    I get word stupid.

Had this idea for a script
Can be for a short story of film.
When I worked it to a point where I had a small 'synopsis' of the story, and somehow............just took a good shape. From prologue back to credits. Its original, inspirational and has action too.

Real life, current affairs that affects us all, but with good storyline.

    BUT!!!!!!!!

The second I ink a piece of paper, I feel like a tree stump.

Can anyone help me with some advice plz plz. I need to write this.
Even if its just a short story in a magazine, I know it has potential.

    PLEASE?!?!?!?!?

"Sometimes, when you're writing a poem—or a story—your brain gets fixated on a specific point. If you try so hard to make it perfect, then you'll never make any progress. Just force yourself to get something down on the paper, and tidy it up later! Another way to think about it is this: if you keep your pen in the same spot for too long, you'll just get a big dark puddle of ink. So just move your hand, and go with the flow!" - Monika, Doki Doki Literature Club!

Or in other words, just type what comes to mind and edit it later. Best of luck to you! :)
