New horror writer to (hopefully) be disgusted by

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by PennyDreadfully, Mar 9, 2018.

    Hi all,

I recently became a student again and have a lot of free time all of a sudden, so I thought I'd get to crackin' on actually writing my stories down and sending them away. The rejections have been thrilling, but I'd like an acceptance or two to spice things up. So I Google'd my way on to this wonderful site!

My preferred genres to read and write are Horror, Psychological Thrillers, and Mysteries. If I read a story that contains all three, I'm in my happy place.

Thanks two weeks in advance for the help! I can't wait to read all your stories as well

That's what rejection slips are, isn't it: "Not for us [the Horror], although [here comes the psychological thrill]we loved the idea, story, setting, characters and the way you developed it, but [that's the Mystery] we couldn't really connect." :dead:

Hey, welcome, and hope you have a great time around by sharing your work and your criteria.

I must tell that, being a new guy around too, I'm having incredibly good moments by simply having a look to other people's work, and I don't regret a single bit to begin participating on this forum (it's the first time on a forum so big and diverse), and hopefully you'll have a good experience too! Review, comment, and let's see your work soon! Bye.

Haha! I didn't get this in my alerts for some reason and am only seeing it now, but that explains everything! Now I know why I continue to submit--the glorious, scary, thrilling, mysterious rejection :D
