Hi, I'm new to the forums. :') I much rather prefer to be called by the name 'Soulfighter', rather than my actual name which I wish not to reveal at the moment. I've been searching for a reliable website to post my original fictions/short stories/e.t.c. e.t.c for decades; I am so glad I came across this one. I've been writing for three years, but I wanted to find somewhere where other writers could review my pieces and send constructive criticism my way, which would help me towards my aim of writing as a potential professional author in the future. I do plan on eventually getting around to publishing my pieces on this website, but I'd like to get to know people on the forums first - ones who could help me out and ones who would be so kind as to send criticism my way. I'd also find it really helpful if anyone could PM me so that I know that I have someone to go to if I need any help finding my way around the website. I'd also be happy look up some of their pieces and review them upon request, as well as finding my own way to their stories. I was also wondering if this website has a beta system in place? I love to read when I'm not working on A-Level work for English Literature, Maths and Art. I read a wide-range of texts; including fanfictions, novels, books, reviews...everything! If I'm not typing up an essay on The Great War, or differentiating/integrating equations or researching and studying the brilliant works of Edvard Munch or Gustav Klimt, you will certainly find me locked up in my room, engrossed in a novel or reviewing a friend's fanfiction story. I'm going to go now - my 'rents are getting on my back to get upstairs. . PMs and replies would be very useful.
hi there, if you like children short story, i love to share with you and fanfict too maybe i can't help you much, but sharing will be great for us!
Hello, Tashanel! It's nice to meet you. :'). I'm very sorry; I'm not usually very good with introductions and such, so I'm glad that you got straight to the point. ;D. I'd love to read and review your pieces! Sharing is good because, as potential authors (where I want to go, anyway), it's good to study works of one another so we can learn off each other and, well, to discover muses and inspirations. :'). I'll add you as a friend, and when I somehow find my way around the forums, I'll get in touch with you. :'). Thank you!
Me either i seek more inspiration for my writing and also the critique. I have several short story on my blog, but not in english thought. (but you can use google translate) And the most valueable thing on the stories there, it was colaborating work with my friend to gain multi-personality character. lol
Welcome to Writing Forums, Soulfighter! I hope you find what you're looking for here, whatever your interests in writing. This forum aims to provide the best workshopping resources on the internet, and to that end we have a few rules which you should familiarise yourself with before you get stuck in. The main section of the site is the Writing Workshop, where members can post their writing in order to receive critique of their work. However, before we allow members to post their work, they must have met some basic requirments. Firstly, you must have been a member for fourteen days, and have made twenty posts on the forum overall (please note, posts in Word Games do not count towards this). This is so that members, when they post their work, have familiarised themselves with the forums and contributed to them (as well as hopefully learned something for themselves). Secondly, members must provide two constructive reviews of other people's work for each piece of their own that they wish to post. This is because we believe that the focus of workshopping should be equally upon giving reviews as receiving them, as they allow a writer to practice and improve their editing skills, which they can then apply to their own writing. Beyond the Writing Workshop, you will find that we have extensive forums for discussion of aspects of writing, as well as a community area for general discussion. We also run periodic short story and poetry contests, which are good for challenging yourself and expanding your skills. If you have any questions or problems, then the moderators (myself and Cogito) should be your first port of call. Any technical problems with the site itself should be directed to Daniel, the site administrator and owner. I would recommend you have a look over the rules so that you know what to expect, and what is expected. But aside from that, I hope you enjoy your time here. Banzai
