Hello all, I am very pleased to find such a diverse, creative crowd of writers. However, I am not a writer. I am lurking here as something of a fraud! The reason I find your craft so interesting is that I am an aspiring mystery game developer. I am a software developer by trade, and an amateur music producer of over a decade. I come here in search of someone with skills I have not. I have recently conjured a heavily stylised 2D retro visual aethestic which I would like to use. I love noir fiction (Chandler), gothic fiction (Poe, Lovecraft) and sci-fi fiction (Dick). I wonder perhaps if anyone was interested in a collaboration? Or perhaps I'm in the wrong place entirely. Welcome. Maybe you'll get inspired to write a story yourself. All one has to do to develop skills is to practice them.
sorry but no, we do have a collaboration board but its for established members only (14 days 20 posts) and its for writers to collaborate with each other, not help wanted. That said since you'e been up front and respectful we're not going to ban you out of hand, feel free to hang about, who knows you might be inspired to write something

I have tried but my skills are spent these days on graphic design! That was also a skill I was rubbish at until I found a way to do it for myself. I would like to learn the craft of writing so perhaps I should spend more time learning from here!
Picking up and book and reading daily will help. If possible, write yourself a journal, using it daily out of habit. Being here is a bonus
