@K McIntyre was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer last month, and underwent a lumpectomy. However, last week that pathology came back positive for slight spreading, so she underwent a second excision on August 1 to take more of the area, and a lymph node. Today, that pathology came back negative, so that is done! Through it all, she continued writing her masterpiece, a WW2 story of an American doctor who joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and served throughout the war with the 51st Highland Division. She has got him up to 1942 as of last night, redeployed from Scotland, training and coastal defense, to Aldershot, more training to deploy somewhere, Egypt if Rommel doesn't beat them to Cairo. Their past commanding general Alan Cunningham is now commanding the 8th Army trying to keep that from happening with mixed results. He is about to propose to this cute English girl Charlotte, who is a fire station dispatcher, busy during air raids.
