Hi, everyone, I have a story set in an office building located on a street based on a real place: Research Parkway in Wallingford CT. The street is made up of all office buildings (Engineering firms, Fedex, etc). So it's not quite an industrial park (no industries as such, more like insurance companies). Is there a word for a street like this? How would you describe it? It's not an office park either really, because it's a public through street. The street connects two major routes. Is there a word for this? Thanks.
I'd still call it an office park - we have a few where I live and the streets are public. I like to run through them on the weekends because there's a lot less traffic than on the main roads.
Commercial Block Office Block I would not call it much of a park since those take up large areas of land, and are like a separate 'neigborhood' within a city/town. I think it would make more sense to call what you have a block or district named for the most common type of business being conducted in the area. Park just doesn't feel right, unless your office buildings are set up in similar fashion to those in an industrial park. IDK?
