I got nothing else at the moment. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/robin-williams-dies-suspected-suicide-724724
O Captain! My Captain! I just heard this on the radio, shocking but the laughter often hides a troubled mind.
That's sad, I grew up on the guy. He recently sold one of his houses and had his television show canceled. He had a lot going on.
Very sad. Like many people of a certain age, he's been a part of my life experience since I was a kid. A genuinely funny man, and the few roles he took on that were dramatic left me stunned at his talent and ability.
I was hoping it was just another death hoax... But no. Incredibly sad news. He was a very gifted and special man.
How did that old Boomtown Rats song go? "And another piece of red left my atlas today." Well, another piece of my life left the world of the living today, by his own hand. I grew up with Robin Williams' magic just as someone else in this thread did, and his death brings universal mortality firmly to consciousness. May his troubles be forever over and the living remember him longer than we remembered Ozymandias!
R.I.P., Robin Williams. He was an extraordinary comedian and a terrific actor. I had no idea he was suffering. I'm very sad to hear of his passing.
I heard the news a few minutes ago and my heart is heavy. It's like losing one of your favorite uncles, that warm, funny guy that made you laugh. I remember how much I loved "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Hook." I still love them really. =(
Terrible, terrible news. He was a brilliant comic and a wonderful person. So sorry he couldn't find peace in the end.
Oh no, I just meant I was hoping someone was just posting spam or had a weird prompt idea... I hoped it was a troll thread. Turned out to be very real...
Terrible news. His films made such a great impression on me. Especially Good Will Hunting and Dead Poet's Society.
Mrs Doubtfire, Armand, Patch, Genie, O Captain! My Captain! you will be forever missed... Words can not express the regret and sorrow at every successful suicide, an entirely preventable death. Rest in peace, true comedy genius.
