I'm looking for a book that teaches uses of overarching structure or techniques.
for what?... fiction or nonfiction?... short stories, novels, or screenplays?
comics. TV series will work as well.
Stan Lee's How to Write Comics is an excellent buy. Check it out on Amazon, to see if that's what you're after.
thanks, I'll check it out.
for scripts, syd field's 'the screenwriter's workbook' is one of the best how-tos on developing a plot...
I'm assuming it's structure for movies only, if that's the case then I'm sticking with Robert Mckee 'Story'. I'm looking for something that can teach structure for ongoing series that doesn't fall flat by the 10th issue. Like how does The Walking Dead run for over 10 years and keep readers wanting more.
