Stumbling about the net I came upon a tremendously rich resource: The Paris Review's, The Art of Fiction series: interviews, about the craft, with pretty much every major author of the last sixty years. (Also, the Art of Poetry and Art of Editing). Google is not only a sinisterly tentacular corporation but also, as some say, your friend.
I'm surprised Ray Bradbury is still alive. Thanks for the link. I had been looking for something worthwhile to look at on the internet.
Thanks for the notice Art! I'll check it out....I think I've browsed/read some of that series in the past, but good to go again. Just found the interview with Ray Bradbury! Wow! Excellent.
The entire "Art of Fiction" series is great. All of them are available on their website. In particular, George Plimpton's interview of Ernest Hemingway in the Spring 1958 issue is legendary.
Yep, that one's next on my list. So someone want to explain the deal with links? Are they not allowed. The one I added has been removed as well as the on from James to the Hemingway interview. Kinda ridiculous if that's the case. This is the friggin' internet in case someone hasn't noticed.
I'm still a fairly new member and wasn't aware of the rule about posting links. I've now read the rule and will comply although I don't agree with the policy or the reasoning behind it.
