I believe that's called "walking" to the store. "Jogging" to the store. "Wandering" to the store. "Meandering" to the store. Or, more on topic, The store was walked to by me. (Passive voice.) Then again, I could have chosen a different word or words not implied by "ran" or "walked." (I'll do it with passive voice. With a split infinitive) The store was walked, with flair and elegance, to, by me. Not my best sentence. At least I didn't put "I like brocolli!" in parenthesis, like another thread. Charlie PS. (OT, I know, but I was just thinking about this) On the subject of unnecessary words (like the "quickly") I was just thinking about a George Carlin routine describing a visit to the airport terminal. "Please check around your immediate seating area for any personal belongings you might have brought on board." Immediate seating area. Seat! Check around your seat! For any personal belongings. What other kinds of belongings do they think I have? Public belongings? Do they think I came on their plane with a fountain I stole from the park? You might have brought on board. I might have brought my arrowhead collection. I didn't, so I'm not going to look for it. I'm going to look for things I brought on board. Charlie
