Back to James Hetfield: I saw Metallica last October. It was pretty great. They did Nothing Else Matters but, to my surprise, they didn't do any of the Unforgivens. They did quite a few from the new Album, which was pretty spectacular.
I saw them in march, as an early 18th birthday gift- I was crapping myself waiting for them to come out;I couldn't believe that I was actually going to see them. They were amazing and played soo many fantastic songs (And stayed for over an hour doing encors!), but I just wish I could've gotten one of the standing tickets by the stage. I'm determined to go again and get closer. Yeah, as far as I know, i dont think they ever play the unforgiven songs, but i'm not sure why. That'd be amazing if they did. When I saw them, they played all of them from the new allbum I think and loads and loads of oldies - they're so generous with their sets.
That'd be immense. They made that song their own, they really did. I was amazed when they played 'Master of puppets' with all the pyrotechnics, and I loved the death magnetic set when they had all the coffin lights rotating, it was fantastic. It was just so magical with thousands and thousands of people singing along to every word, hah.
Totally. Puppets is my favorite 'tallica song of all. Though I have to say, I really like This Was Just Your Life. Seeing them open the concert with that very song and rock the hell out of it was awesome.
They started the gig I was at with that song too, hehe. I was too bewildered at the time and spent most of the song fumbling for my camera, haha.
I hate when people say that (no offense). It just makes no sense to me. Gothic is a style. Many people pursue the gothic style. It is not owned by Dita Von Teese. Evan is a completely different person, and in my opinion BILLIONS of times more attractive than Dita. I don't know why but I've never found her even remotely attractive where as I'd be willing to volunteer up the rest of my life to be Evan's personal slave. Tee hee. Also, how could I forget Natalie Portman! Most beautiful person ever! I've been in love with her since I first saw her in the Professional when she was a little kid.
She isn't 'gothic style'. It's vintage. Also, she didn't dress that way before she went out with marilyn manson after he'd been with Dita Von Teese. She just looked like a normal young girl. It's pretty obvious that she changed styles to suit Marilyn Manson, not herself. And yep, there's lots of people prettier than Dita - Just not Evan Rachel Wood. By a long shot.
Well obviously it's a matter of opinion. Also I mean, it must be really hard to grow up in the spotlight. I can't even tell you how many times I changed my style during my teens and early twenties. I was everything from a preppy girl to a goth to a vintage queen to a freak to a little raver kid, and yes, some of the times, I changed for a guy I like. She's just a person, she's allowed to change however she wants and for whatever reason she wants. Personally, I find her much more attractive with the blonde hair and casual dress, but I think she should dress however she wants. It's her facial expressions and voice that attract me more than anything. Here is a picture where I find her just insanely sexy: Also, this dude comes close to Shia Labeouf on the hottness scale for me: Why am I sitting here alone instead of making sexy time with him? Because life is not fair, thats why! PS- I have not had a sexual encounter in many moons, in case you cannot tell. Heehee.
Yep, people do change, especially in their teens or because of who they're dating/hanging out with. But, what I was saying before, was that I admire the way Dita Von Teese managed to find her style and career and continue to be who she wants to be, despite losing her husband to some fling he had. As far as I can see, she didn't let it ruin her. Which is pretty admirable considering how some celebrity relationships go - i'd struggle if I was in the limelight whilst my marriage was going down the pan, I know that much.
I'd struggle if I was in the limelight period! lol. I don't even like when people I know see me at the grocery store, I can't imagine photogs following me around.
I know what you mean, lol. I hate bumping into people when i'm shopping. It takes forever to get from one end of the shop to the other. If people were taking photo's and constantly following and asking questions, i'd want to hide under a rock forever hah.
Funny story about being famous and followed around by cameras...Paula Abdul is friends with two guys that do a morning show out here, and they were at dinner with her and a bunch of people one day, and when they were leaving, all the paparazzi were there, so they get ready to escort Paula to her car without her being completely ambushed, and as she's getting in, one of the radio guys calls to her "Don't worry, honey, I'll get that diarrhea medicine on my way home! Everything is gonna be ok!" or something like that. The next day, it was all over TMZ... And I'm going to tie this in to the subject of the thread by saying that I think Paula Abdul is an absolutely lovely person.
