    Places to Find Agents

Discussion in 'Traditional Publishing' started by dragonflare137, Jun 3, 2017.

Im a bit new to this publishing thing, and I haven't gotten to the painstaking point of looking for potential agents for my manuscrpit, but I want to have resources for when that time comes.

So my question is where do you recommend looking? Like which sites do you use or have had good experiences with. Or maybe a agency that you use and like. I'm not looking for an agent that goes for a specific genre, I just want to find someplace where I can browse around and see who could possibly accept my submission.

    Thank you in advance :)

There are two (maybe more) big, searchable sites - http://agentquery.com/ and querytracker.net.

But they don't really vet agents too well, so you'll want to follow up with research at http://absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?22-Bewares-Recommendations-amp-Background-Check. (http://www.pred-ed.com/ used to be great, but they've apparently become a bit out-of-date. They're looking for someone to kick them back into gear, so you might want to check there in case they're updated by the time you're ready to submit.
