mothers plans for Dom for the summer.

    paint the living room.
    lay floor in living room.
    camp
    fish
    relax
    paint the house
    mow the lawn several times.
    help mom with shopping.
    help clean house daily.
learn to wake up early enough to have at least half the day to do stuff.
I will go along with the hugs.

    Plans for the summer?

Do you have any exciting/interesting plans for the summer?

Can you remember the best summer you ever had? Why was it so great?

Now, to answer my own questions!

A couple of my friends and I are going to spend a weekend camping in June. I haven't been camping in such a long time so it's going to be a lot of fun. For Canada Day my mom and I are going to go downtown and watch the pow-wow. We went last year and I absolutely fell in-love with the entire ritual. Pow-wows are amazing to witness. They are very powerful and spiritual. Finally, in August my friend turns eighteen years old and of course I am obliged to take her out drinking. Also I'm pretty excited to be going to a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert. We got floor seats!

The best summer I've ever had so far was actually last year. I went to Minneapolis, MN with my mom to go and see a Patti Smith in concert (I love Patti Smith). She performed in a small theatre downtown and by the end of the night I had dragged my mom to the front of the stage to get closer to her. Best concert ever... I seriously almost cried.

Jaclyn take plenty of Off Unscented so those mosquitoes don't carry you away.
I have found it is the only thing that works and since you said you haven't been camping in years take it from one who goes camping every year among the bears, black flies and mosquitoes.
Sure hope you have fun. Are you going to that camping area that is sort of in the back yard of the mall.
my sister in law thinks that is roughing it.

Thank you, lessa! Mosquitoes can be horrible where I live. Hopefully, they won't be bad this year.

Camping is such a blast. We totally want to rough it out there in the bush and get into some serious camping. Maybe even possibly fight a mountian lion with our bare hands and catch fish for dinner with spears, haha.

Preparing for the trip is always fun and I can set up tents without a problem, but I'm actually worried about starting a fire. I have no patience for the elements. I'll end up burning all of our toliet paper and reading material until a fire is started.

Given that there is already a near-identical thread, I'm going to merge the two.

take a pack of the fire starters that they sell in the camping supply aisle in Canadian Tire.
or a small bottle of lighter fluid.
either is great. just try and find dry weather so the wood stays dry.
might want to avoid the cougars. they have more weapons than you do.
When we are camping outside a provincial park we have a shot gun and a high powered rifle beside us in the tent. Haven't had to use them but they are a nice security blanket.
almost forgot. toilet paper and paper towels make terrible fire starters. they pick up the damp from the air. Save chip bags and bacon grease soaked paper towels both work really well.

My only actual plan is that I'll visit Mackinac Island and walk around for hours taking pictures of trees and rock formations.

It sounds incredibly dull, but considering that my entire fantasy world is based on that place, I find it terribly intriguing. :)

I'd love to visit more places but it costs too much to go anywhere anymore. :(

Well... so far all my plans have fallen through. I already know that i'm going to fail my exams, work have taken on two new people so that the people who have exams can work fewer hours but there will be no full time contracts left because of it, i'm seriously not wanting to go to uni at the minute and i'm no longer going camping.

Long story, you probably shouldn't even ask. I need three Bs which should have been easy considering that i'm predicted 4 As. However, I ended up getting A,A,D in Spanish which is a very low B for AS, then I need to get 3 Bs for A2 to keep it like that and my teacher said I did no better if not worse in my A2 oral.

As for ICT, my coursework was really lower than expected because I used HTML for my webpage rather than front page and some how got marked down for it. So that's not going well.

My French is about as crap as Spanish... let myself down on oral.

History is not going well at all... I got A,A,D in that too and i'm predicted A,B,C this year which will average low.

Could your anxiety over your grades be connected to your illness today?

Or could my illness be related to my anxiety? After several hours of crying, sick is pretty much inevitable... you know that feeling where you cry so much you're just sick... I got there a while ago.
