Post a line and it'll be a thread that adds one with each reply. At five lines the 6th poster posts all 5 as one stanza and starts the 1st line of the second stanza. Lets see what we can get with two, 5 line stanzas.
That was the general idea. I’ve been inspired on a few occasions lately, to write a poem focusing on the onset of winter and how it reminds me of Christmas and my childhood. I thought I’d offer up what I had (the first three lines) as a kickstarter for a collaboration, but the moments gone now.
I've been inspired on a few occasions to write a poem [sigh deeply, step back from microphone and stare at shoes] focusing on the onset of winter [look in childlike wonder at flakes from snow machine] and how it reminds me of Christmas [orchestra plays "Santa Baby" pianissimo portamento] and my childhood [weep; glycerin tears backstage] I thought I'd offer up [hand on heart] what I had (the first three lines) as a Kickstarter™ [consult legal dept.] for a collaboration, but the moments (plural noun) gone now [wipe away tears, bask in applause] p.s. @OurJud, you can use this at your next open mic poetry slam but I will require a full acknowledgement
