Cheers WD Right-clicking on the desktop allowed me to enter the magical world of the Desktop Wizard for the first time...... but the wizard - for whatever reason - fails to register the presence of the Recycle Bin (but registers (and allows me to move/ delete) all other shortcuts when I add them). Odd.
Mine is very exciting. 50% grey. I work with graphics, so anything with color will "contaminate" my perception.
I'm a bit of a computer junkie, so I did a lot of work on my desktop. It's all dynamic: the time, weather, power, and task list are all real time, the quote is a quote of the day that automatically updates itself. If you're wondering, the random TextEdit window is covering up my name, which I don't want to go about and post in a public forum. http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx98/theweatherman_2010/Screenshot2011-11-16at85714PM.png
Everyone has such interesting desktops. Mine is very simple. My frequently used apps are on the dock, and I've got the serene wallpaper going on. Sorry for the edit, I accidentally deleted the other picture from my Photobucket account.
This is the WP I use. Don't have any icons. Prior to editing/cropping the frame of the mirror was visible. Might look weird if you didn't realise it's a mirror? Image originally scanned from 「ザテレビジョンZOOM!!」(The Television Zoom) magazine.
Some pegs on my washing line. Not sure why but I think it's one of the best photos I've ever taken?...really need to clear up my desktop folders as well. Mamma I just did a print screen on my mac (hold command-shift-4) and then 'saved for web' in photoshop to get the file size down.
My Windows laptop, which I use primarily for school and gaming. Right now I'm working on a scary story as well, hence the creepy background.
i still need a step by step 'tutorial' on how to: 1.capture the desktop 2.get it to show in a post are there any technogeeks out there who can instruct tech-know-nuthin's?
On my laptop you press PrtSc, sometimes Print Screen as with other keyboards I've used like my old Dell Insperon, and then paste into an image program like Paint. Save, and then display either directly from the computer itself, or from a free image upload site.
My first post on the site. No real reason for the wallpaper apart that I liked it. Does make you think don't it? I am very organized though with everything in it's folders. Oh and construct2 is the most amazing software to help you make games. It is totally drag and drop, if you've ever thought of making a game start with that. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59133840/Desktop.jpg
