Hello, So my WIP is a crime story that is based two different time frames (Cold case and Current case). I am trying to pull readers in by using different styles in both era. For instance I used first name basis for the characters in the Current case and used last name basis for the Cold case characters. I also wanted to use "asked" for question is dialogues for one era and "said" for another era. Will this cause confusion or do you think the readers will catch my intentions? I want to fix this before I get too far and then have to rewrite those parts. Thanks.
