Considering how many billions of people who have ever lived I cannot be certain that any thing I come up with hadn't been thought of before. I certainly have not read even a tiny fraction of everything that has ever been written.

I've had that happen, it's really nasty! It must be similar to why erasers stop working after a while and instead make big marks on the paper. The opposite of what they're supposed to do. The pink erasers anyway, the white vinyl ones don't seem to do that.
